This is to give you a bit of a taste of what is going on behind the scenes at McConaghy Boats. These composite images reflect the intense engineering and construction efforts underway in creating the second McConaghy 60 catamaran. Launch is expected in 2019.
The boat has been ordered by Aeroyacht customers who are experienced catamaran sailors. Their old boat, a Catana 582 Caligo is for sale and clients are planning to use their new MC60 as a long term cruising machine along the Eastern Seaboard.
McConaghy Boats are the aerospace company within the small but high-tech world of cruising catamarans. With several manufacturing and engineering facilities in Asia, this 50 year old yacht builder has created more foiling boats than any other builder in the world. Their new line of McConaghy catamarans break the mold of conventions. Sailing models include the MC50, 55, 60, 77, 90. There is also the Power MC59 PC. Their unique carbon hybrid construction, open salon layout and grand-prix type sailing experience take cruising catamarans to a new level. Deep and efficient kick up centerboards make them one of the safest vessels afloat as well.
